Privacy Policy

Breath U respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Breath U mobile application ("Breath U" or the "App"). Breath U is a product of Interproperties B.V., registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 34237697.

1. We keep your data private

Breath U has no account and no server of ours. We do not collect your name, address, phone number or email address through the App, and we do not collect your breathing or cold-exposure data. Everything you do in the App stays on your device.

2. No tracking or advertising

Breath U does not track you across other apps or websites, does not use advertising or tracking identifiers, and does not sell, rent or trade personal information. The App contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. The only third-party component in the App is RevenueCat, described in section 5.

3. Information stored on your device

The App stores the following locally, in its own storage on your iPhone or iPad:

breathing and cold sessions (date, duration, rounds, retention times);
your Cold Challenge: the challenge you chose (7, 14 or 28 days), the days you completed and your streak;
the badges you have earned and when;
your Mindful Play results (best results and totals per experience);
your preferences: language, sound, haptics, tempo, reminders and similar settings.

None of this is transmitted to Breath U or Interproperties B.V. If you use iCloud Backup, Apple includes this data in your device backup under Apple's own terms.

4. Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your explicit permission, Breath U reads heart rate, heart rate variability, resting heart rate and respiratory rate from Apple Health to show how your body responds before and after a session and to draw your 30-day trend. With your permission, Breath U can also write mindful minutes to Apple Health for completed sessions. You choose which types to allow and can withdraw access at any time in the Health app under Sharing. Health data is processed on your device only, never leaves it through the App, and is never used for advertising or shared with third parties.

5. Purchases and RevenueCat

Breath U Premium (a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase) is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes your payment and holds your payment details; we never see them.

To verify purchases, keep Premium unlocked on your devices and let you restore a purchase, we use RevenueCat, Inc. (San Francisco, United States) as a processor on our behalf. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated app-user identifier created by the App (not linked to your name, email address or Apple ID), purchase and subscription data from Apple (product, price, currency, purchase and renewal dates, status, store country) and technical data (app version, iOS version, device type and the IP address of the request). RevenueCat stores this data in the United States; the transfer is covered by the EU standard contractual clauses in our data processing agreement with RevenueCat. RevenueCat's own policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy. We use RevenueCat for purchase verification only — not for analytics, profiling or advertising.

6. Erasing your data

In Settings → "Erase all data" you remove every session, your Cold Challenge, your badges and your Mindful Play results in one step. Your preferences stay. Mindful minutes already written to Apple Health are not removed by this step; you can delete them in the Health app. Purchase records remain with Apple and RevenueCat, because they are needed to restore Premium. Deleting the App from your device removes all locally stored information as well.

7. Technical information

Like most mobile applications, Breath U relies on technical services provided by Apple and the operating system to distribute and operate the App. These services may process limited technical information independently in accordance with their own privacy policies. Breath U does not use this information to build profiles or track you.

8. Support communications

If you contact us at support@breathu.app or through the form on this website, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address and the contents of your message. We use it only to respond to you, and keep it for as long as reasonably necessary for that purpose or where required by law.

9. Third-party links

Breath U may contain links to external websites or services. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit or use them.

10. Children's privacy

Breath U is not intended for children under 16 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Retention breathing and cold exposure are adult practices; please read the safety notes in the App.

11. Your privacy rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold, to object to processing and to receive a copy of your data. Because Breath U keeps almost everything on your device, in most cases you exercise these rights yourself by using the App or deleting it. For anything else, contact support@breathu.app. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

12. Data security

Where we do process personal information, for example when you contact support, we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it. No electronic communication or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Breath U introduces new functionality or when legal requirements change. The latest version always shows its effective date at the top of this page.

Breath U respecteert je privacy. Deze privacyverklaring legt uit hoe er met informatie wordt omgegaan als je de Breath U-app ("Breath U" of de "App") gebruikt. Breath U is een product van Interproperties B.V., ingeschreven bij de Kamer van Koophandel onder nummer 34237697.

1. Je gegevens blijven privé

Breath U heeft geen account en geen eigen server. We verzamelen via de App geen naam, adres, telefoonnummer of e-mailadres, en geen adem- of koudegegevens. Alles wat je in de App doet blijft op je toestel.

2. Geen tracking of advertenties

Breath U volgt je niet over andere apps of websites, gebruikt geen advertentie- of tracking-identifiers en verkoopt, verhuurt of ruilt geen persoonsgegevens. De App bevat geen analytics- of crashrapportage-SDK's. Het enige onderdeel van derden in de App is RevenueCat, beschreven in punt 5.

3. Informatie op je toestel

De App slaat het volgende lokaal op, in de eigen opslag op je iPhone of iPad:

adem- en koudesessies (datum, duur, rondes, retentietijden);
je koude-challenge: de gekozen challenge (7, 14 of 28 dagen), de afgeronde dagen en je streak;
de badges die je hebt verdiend en wanneer;
je Mindful Play-resultaten (beste resultaten en totalen per ervaring);
je voorkeuren: taal, geluid, haptiek, tempo, herinneringen en vergelijkbare instellingen.

Niets hiervan wordt naar Breath U of Interproperties B.V. verstuurd. Gebruik je iCloud-reservekopie, dan neemt Apple deze gegevens op in je toestelback-up onder de voorwaarden van Apple.

4. Apple Health (HealthKit)

Met jouw uitdrukkelijke toestemming leest Breath U hartslag, hartslagvariabiliteit, rusthartslag en ademfrequentie uit Apple Health om te laten zien hoe je lichaam vóór en na een sessie reageert en om je 30-dagentrend te tekenen. Met jouw toestemming kan Breath U ook mindful minuten naar Apple Health schrijven voor afgeronde sessies. Je kiest zelf welke typen je toestaat en kunt de toegang altijd intrekken in de Health-app onder Delen. Health-gegevens worden alleen op je toestel verwerkt, verlaten het toestel niet via de App en worden nooit gebruikt voor advertenties of gedeeld met derden.

5. Aankopen en RevenueCat

Breath U Premium (een jaarabonnement of een eenmalige levenslange aankoop) wordt verkocht via de App Store van Apple. Apple verwerkt je betaling en bewaart je betaalgegevens; wij zien die nooit.

Om aankopen te controleren, Premium op je toestellen ontgrendeld te houden en je een aankoop te laten herstellen, gebruiken we RevenueCat, Inc. (San Francisco, Verenigde Staten) als verwerker namens ons. RevenueCat ontvangt een anonieme, willekeurig aangemaakte app-gebruikersidentifier van de App (niet gekoppeld aan je naam, e-mailadres of Apple ID), aankoop- en abonnementsgegevens van Apple (product, prijs, valuta, aankoop- en verlengdatums, status, store-land) en technische gegevens (appversie, iOS-versie, toesteltype en het IP-adres van de aanvraag). RevenueCat bewaart deze gegevens in de Verenigde Staten; de doorgifte is gedekt door de standaardcontractbepalingen van de EU in onze verwerkersovereenkomst met RevenueCat. Het eigen beleid van RevenueCat staat op revenuecat.com/privacy. Wij gebruiken RevenueCat alleen voor aankoopverificatie — niet voor analytics, profilering of advertenties.

6. Je gegevens wissen

Via Instellingen → "Alle data wissen" verwijder je in één stap al je sessies, je koude-challenge, je badges en je Mindful Play-resultaten. Je voorkeuren blijven staan. Mindful minuten die al naar Apple Health zijn geschreven worden hiermee niet verwijderd; die kun je in de Health-app wissen. Aankoopgegevens blijven bij Apple en RevenueCat, omdat die nodig zijn om Premium te herstellen. De App van je toestel verwijderen wist ook alle lokaal opgeslagen informatie.

7. Technische informatie

Zoals de meeste apps steunt Breath U op technische diensten van Apple en het besturingssysteem om de App te verspreiden en te laten werken. Die diensten kunnen zelfstandig beperkte technische informatie verwerken volgens hun eigen privacybeleid. Breath U gebruikt die informatie niet om profielen op te bouwen of je te volgen.

8. Supportberichten

Neem je contact op via support@breathu.app of via het formulier op deze website, dan ontvangen wij de informatie die je zelf verstrekt, zoals je e-mailadres en de inhoud van je bericht. We gebruiken die alleen om je te antwoorden en bewaren die zolang redelijkerwijs nodig voor dat doel of zolang de wet dat vereist.

9. Links naar derden

Breath U kan links bevatten naar externe websites of diensten. Daarop is hun eigen privacybeleid van toepassing.

10. Privacy van kinderen

Breath U is niet bedoeld voor kinderen onder de 16 en verzamelt niet bewust persoonsgegevens van kinderen. Retentie-ademhaling en koudetraining zijn praktijken voor volwassenen; lees de veiligheidsinformatie in de App.

11. Je privacyrechten

Onder de AVG heb je recht op inzage, correctie en verwijdering van persoonsgegevens die wij hebben, het recht om bezwaar te maken tegen verwerking en het recht op een kopie van je gegevens. Omdat Breath U vrijwel alles op je toestel houdt, oefen je deze rechten meestal zelf uit via de App of door de App te verwijderen. Voor al het overige mail je support@breathu.app. Je kunt ook een klacht indienen bij de Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

12. Beveiliging

Waar wij persoonsgegevens verwerken, bijvoorbeeld als je contact opneemt met support, nemen we redelijke technische en organisatorische maatregelen om die te beschermen. Geen enkel elektronisch communicatie- of opslagsysteem is volledig te garanderen.

13. Wijzigingen

We kunnen deze privacyverklaring aanpassen als Breath U nieuwe functies krijgt of als wettelijke eisen veranderen. De meest recente versie toont altijd de ingangsdatum bovenaan deze pagina.
